if you mean the latest version up to date then yes, i always keep my games up to date. The activate trainer works says ON, but the money, exp, none of that works, I cant even turn them on.

No I mean v1.0.0, that's what the trainer was made for. If the version doesn't match and the trainer isn't working then you can request/vote for an update in the app.
